PET for Schools Rap

Would you like the car?
I'm not sure about that.
How about going by plane?
Right, but I prefer the train.
That's a very good idea.
But we can visit María.
I think so too.
And then we'll visit the zoo!

Aimar and Bruno

I love your cat!
That's why I wanted to tell you that!
How about taking my car? It's too far!
I think it's very nice.
It's like driving on ice.
And it has a great price.
Oh, Jesus Christ!

Lucía and Adriana

How about singing that song?
Oh no, I think it's wrong. That's something I'm not keen on.
What do you think of eating chocolate?
I'd prefer a cake!
How about going to New York?
That's right but I'd prefer to be on my own.
What are you saying, don't you want to go with us?
Of course I do, it will be stupendous!

Cecilia, Irene and Claudia

So, shall we play football then?
I prefer playing pokemon with them.
What about playing basketball?
I'd prefer playing baseball or volleyball.
I'd prefer playing Fifa, or watching funny videos.
A glass of milk I'll drink
and I'll watch the channel of Tobbalink.
I'm not sure about that
you'll be in trouble with your cat.

Lorenzo and Pablo

How about doing a rap?
I've brought my cap.
Yes, that's true.
I think so too.
What do you think of a train chant?
Yesterday I sang one.
Are you starting a rap fight?
I don't do that at night.
Maybe at school?
No, that's not cool.

Alba and María

What do you think of eating chocolate?
Oh no! I prefer a cake.
How about going to a café?
Maybe we could go to Budapest.
I'm not keen on that, how about going to the park?
Oh no! the lake is full of sharks!

Claudia and Irene

Let's go to the cinema
to see that criminal.
I don't like this mix
I prefer going to the beach.
Everyone prefers that
you should bring your hat.
I'll try to find my ring
that I lost last spring.

Hugo and Pablo

How about the school?
No, it isn't cool.
Why don't we go to the park?
No, it is too dark.
Would you like to go to the pizza place?
Yes, I like your face!
And then, how about going to my house?
Yes, to take your mouse.
Do you like the map?
Yes I do, and the rap too!!

Cambridge Prep.

Our students have brought their own photos to class to practise for PET for Schools Speaking part 3. They know they shouldn't forget to:

  • describe the people and the activities in the photos.
  • describe people’s role in the photo.
  • imagine they are describing the image to someone who can’t see it naming all the objects and providing details: the place, the weather, the time of the day, the season, the colours, the clothes (how are people dressed?), age (how old do you think they are?)
  • talk about objects’ and people’s position in the photo.

  • describe their feelings and emotions (how do they feel about what they are doing?)
  • explain unknown concepts (vocabulary they don’t know)
  • who took the photo?
  • make conclusions about what’s happening.

All the photos were great!!! We've seen relatives, babies, sportive people, classmates, school trips, ID images... no matter how small or big the picture is, you can always comment on it.
